Scheduling & Registration:
The sacrament of baptism is celebrated on Sunday afternoons at 1:00 pm in the Church. We will baptized up to five children each week. Registration is required for baptism and can be completed over the phone. Please call the Parish Office at 224-345-7200 – at least one month in advance – to register and confirm dates. We do ask first-time parents to attend a Baptismal preparation class before baptism which take place on the 3rd Monday of the month from 7:00-8:30PM.
Baptismal Preparation Class:
To inform, pray with, share faith with, and educate first-time parents and godparents in the baptismal ceremony and the ongoing effects of the sacrament. Sessions are held once a month on a Monday night via Zoom.
Adult Preparation:
Adults preparing to receive the sacrament of Baptism must participate in the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (R.C.I.A.). See RCIA for more information.
